The hotel is proudly owned and operated by the Walden family. The originally named Singleton's Hotel is branded to the initial 1960's Tanglewood name, and keeping the heritage of operating as a hotel - warmly greeting local farmers, out-of-towners from the sea-side and holiday makers from Gauteng and surrounding provinces.
The hotel makes for a scenic half-way house for travelers between Johannesburg and the coast and plans are in place to welcome foreigners from other countries to the Midlands Meander. The Walden family also plan to do renovations on the hotel, such as reopening closed off parts of the original terrace, adding self-catering cottages and a wedding venue.
