DURBAN SCENIC FLIGHTS

We also offer scenic flights around Durban - operating from the Virginia Airport in Durban North.  Some of our scenic Durban flights include:

HARBOUR TOUR (approx 15-20mins) - A feast for the eyes as we fly along the Durban beachfront to uShaka Marine World overlooking the magnificent Durban Harbour.

GOLD COAST (approx 30 mins) - Skim along the beaches of the north coast and enjoy a gull’s eye view of dolphins and people at play in the surf. This unforgettable tour features the sunny northern coast line including hidden beaches and oceanfront estates all the the way to Ballito.

COASTAL GLIDE (approx 30 mins) - Begin your aerial tour by gliding past the new Moses Mabhida stadium towards the magnificent Durban Harbour. Then, turn around to continue along the golden coast cruising gracefully along the northern coastline to Ballito before returning to Virginia.

MOUNTAIN PICNIC (approx 1hr flying) - Soar past the exotic coast of Umhlanga and Umdhloti beaches before turning inland to fly passed King Shaka Airport. View the attractions of the sunset cliffs whilst descending into the river valley. Behold an aerial view of the magnificent Inanda Dam and the surrounding unspoilt African beauty. Land on one of the manycliffs for a spectacular picnic. 1 hour of flying. It includes a further 45-minutes on the mountain for the picnic.

TALA GAME RESERVE - (approx 1hr flying time) - Fly along the coastline from Virginia to The Umgeni River then head inland over rugged mountains to Tala Game Reserve. Tala wildlife conservancy is hidden in the hills of a quiet farming community. The helicopter will wait as you enjoy your lunch and if you wish, a game drive by either 4x4 or quad bike. 1 hour of flying and the morning or afternoon enjoyed at Tala.

KARKLOOF SPA (approx 1hr 30min flying time) - Head straight for the hidden splendor in the hills near Albert Falls Dam. Indulge in the sensual existence of this exquisite spa and wildlife retreat.

uSHAKA MARINE WORLD - During holiday season and special weekends Civair offer short flips along the Durban beachfront to experience the colourful Durban city by air and the Moses Mabhida stadium. For businessman wanting to be ferried to or from King Shaka airport, Civair offer the uShaka heliport as an easy drop off and collection point. 3 uShaka Marine World. Note: Minimum of 2 people in the R44 and 3 people in the Jetranger.
