AFRICAN MERMAID ART

Helen Lategan, a South African artist and the founder of African Mermaid Arts has been adding value to communities through art for many years. Helen is an art teacher and a gifted artist/crafter. Her view on art is that anything can be recycled, painted on, upgraded and used to create the desired effect in your home.

African Mermaid runs workshops on a weekly basis using all mediums including: oil paints, acrylics, pottery, mosaic, beading and may others. in their workshops furniture is revamped, suitcases redecorated, landscapes, abstract art, pots painted and varnished.
