ELVESIDA FARM - THE PERFECT FAMILY GETAWAY IN THE COUNTRYSIDE OF THE KZN MIDLANDS

Situated in the beautiful Boston Valley of the KZN Midlands (about 90 minutes from Durban), Elvesida is a working farm with an abundance of farmyard animals, sheep and cows. Perfect for the whole family.

Elvesida Holiday Farm has a variety of accommodation available to suit different groups. Whether you are visiting as a couple or if you are in a large family group, we have accommodation to suit your needs and your wallet.

We also cater for contractors working in the area or folk wanting to retire to farm life.

The Farmhouse

• Ideal For Larger Group Getaways - Sleeps 8 Adults (max 12 people).
• A Four bedroom farmhouse with 2 Doubles, 4 singles & bunks if needed
• The Farmhouse has a fully equipped kitchen including fridge, microwave, stove and braai, cutlery and crockery.
• There is a TV which receives SABC 1, 2, 3 and ETV. If you wish to watch DSTV please bring your own decoder and card.
• A large dining area with fireplace and comfortable lounge, kitchen and 2 bathrooms with bath & shower.  
• Braai and Fireplace.
• This accommodation is self-catering and all food must be brought with you. 
• Linen is provided but please bring your own towels.

The Sheds

• 2 Bedroom Units Ideal For Family Time - Sleeps 5 
• Each unit has a fully equipped kitchen including fridge, microwave, stove and braai, cutlery and crockery.
• The Sheds are spacious 2 bedroom units with magnificent views overlooking our trout dam. 2 Units available. Each comfortably sleeps a family of 5.
• Double bed with en-suite, 3 single beds, 2 bathrooms with showers, open plan kitchen/dining room and lounge. 
• There is a TV which receives SABC 1, 2, 3 and ETV. If you wish to watch DSTV please bring your own decoder and card.
• Linen is provided but please bring your own towels.
• Spacious verandah.

The Stables

• Ideal For Couples Attending Weddings - The stables are a group of 3 x 1 bedroom cottages with an en-suite bathroom and an open plan living area.
• The Stables each have a fully equipped kitchen including fridge, microwave, stove cutlery and crockery, and braai facilities.
• There is a TV which receives SABC 1, 2, 3 and ETV. If you wish to watch DSTV please bring your own decoder and card.
• Linen is provided but please bring your own towels.

The Thatch

• 3 Bedroom House Ideal For Families - The Thatch is a 3 bedroom cottage, idea for a family farm retreat. 
• There are 2 Double beds, 4 single beds, 2 bathrooms with showers, kitchen/dining room and living room. 
• The Thatch has a fully equipped kitchen including fridge, microwave, stove and braai, cutlery and crockery.
• It has a spacious veranda and open front lawn.
• There is a TV which receives SABC 1, 2, 3 and ETV. If you wish to watch DSTV please bring your own decoder and card.
• Linen is provided but please bring your own towels.

Swallows Nest

2 Bedroom Family Cottage - The Swallows Nest is situated next door to The Thatch. It has privacy for a single family but is also idea as an add-on for larger families staying at The Thatch. There are 2 bedrooms - 1 double bed and 2 single beds, 1 bathroom with shower, open plan kitchen/dining room and lounge.The Swallows nest has a fully equipped kitchen including fridge, microwave, stove and braai, cutlery and crockery. Enjoy the front lawn area and beautiful views over the bass dam.

The Tin Shack

2 Bedroom House For An Escape - The Tin Shack is a 2 bedroom house with 1 double bed and 2 single beds, 1 bathroom with shower, open plan kitchen/dining room and lounge. The Tin Shack has a fully equipped kitchen including fridge, microwave, stove and braai, cutlery and crockery. Enjoy beautiful views over the bass dam. Spacious veranda. 

Activities at Elvesida Holiday Farm

Trout Fishing - Elvesida Farm offers fly-fishing in our dam. The “Sassie” dam is located in front of The Sheds.
Farm Stall - Our farm stall is open everyday and has a variety of “Darling’s” home made jams, including strawberry, rasberry, boysenberry and fig. We also stock other pickles and preserves, farm fresh eggs and firewood.

Other activities on the farm include birding, canoeing, walking, pony rides, tubing in summer, swimming, mountain and off-road biking and interacting with all the farm animals.
