Welcome to Wild 5 Adventures! Wild 5, based on site at the Oribi Gorge Hotel, offers a range of adrenalin-inducing activities that guarantee to get your blood pumping!

 

ACTIVITIES

Experience the ultimate rush! Situated at the top of Lehr's Waterfall, this is the highest swing in the world. Leap off the edge of the waterfall to swing into the gaping depths of the gorge - 165m (55 Storeys), and accelerate to 120km/hour in 2.5 seconds. Bragging rights are guaranteed!

Abseil down a 110m Cliff face, alongside Lehr's waterfall, and experience a new dimension in sightseeing! Determine your own pace in one of the world's highest commercial abseils. The first 45m is a cliff abseil, while the remaining 65m is a free abseil, allowing you to take in the beauty of the gorge from a different angle.

If you can't muster up the courage to do the swing or abseil, this option is just for you. Experience solitary bliss as you slide along the Zip-line that spans across the gorge, 165m above the treetops. Strapped securely in a full body harness, you can enjoy a bird's eye view of Lehr's Waterfall and Baboon's Castle!

If you're more of an aqua-adventurer, join our experienced guides in challenging the grade 2 to 4 rapids of the Umzimkhulu River. Half- and two- day river rafting trips are available, with the latter including a camp-over on the river bank.

There are many ways to enjoy the view sites, other than by car. Take a gentle hike or a more strenuous climb (down a rocky climbing path) to the bottom of the Gorge. Mountain bikers can follow the scenic single track, meandering along the top of the gorge. Guided horse trails are also available.
