Spring Water Farm is the continuity of a 40 year French family tradition in the worldwide thoroughbred breeding and racing operation for Xavier and Nathalie Bozo.

Situated in South Africa's magnificent KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, this 70 hectare farm is surrounded by the Drakensberg Mountains, and just alongside the famous Summerhill Stud, it is the most beautiful place to breed horses, while at the same time offering peaceful, comfortable and friendly accommodation as a bed and breakfast facility.

A truly unique combination, Spring Water Farm was purchased by Xavier and Nathalie in 2009, and after some years of preparation, the Mooi River property is ready for raising horses and to welcome anybody wishing to spend time in the middle of future champions, be it for a night, a week or longer.

The farm's principal activity is the purchase, breeding and raising of (weanlings) until they go to the yearling or the "ready to run" sales.

WHAT WE OFFER

Escape city life to this peaceful sanctuary with beautiful gardens, situated 8 kms from the Mooi River Village, within the scenic mountains. Guests can expect the same quality of care as the young horses being raised on the farm.

A 2km river flows through the property, giving you the pleasure of a nice evening walk. The house boasts a large comfortable lounge with every home amenity, as well as a pool where guests can relax and take in the majestic mountain views, and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the pristine Midlands area.

Ideal for visitors from near or far on a B & B or self-catering basis, the owners are particularly accommodating to suit the guests' specific catering needs, preferences and requirements should bookings extend beyond 2-3 days. The house is serviced by attentive resident staff, there for your every need. For longer bookings, shopping and laundry services can be provided.

The farmhouse comprises of five bedrooms which have been carefully furnished with your comfort in mind.

• POLO Bedroom - double bed size bed and bathroom en suite 
• MARCO Bedroom - king size and bathroom to share

Twin beds may be substituted in the Main Bedroom, Valentine Bedroom or Polo Bedroom.

FROM JOHANNESBURG -

FROM DURBAN -

When arriving from Johannesburg you take the north exit arriving in Mooi River. Arriving in Mooi River pass on your left the farmers shop TWK. Keep straight at the next stop (Standard Bank on you right). Next crossing road take on your right to the Giant Castle road. Drive for 2 km until you find the Hlatikulu road on your left (indicated Spring Water Farm accommodation) like Hartford House – Summerhill stud etc. Keep straight going down to the hill for 6 km. Pass Summerhill Stud on your right and then Hartford house on your right (where is the wedding). Go down to the hill. (+ 500 m). Don't take the road on your left (Connington road). Keep straight and after 400 m take the entrance on your left (Spring Water Farm). You are arrived.

When arriving from Durban take exit south to Mooi River. After the toll take left, then take on your right to go to town. When you are in the village leave the SPAR on your right and then take left at the first circle. Then take right at the robot to follow the Giant Castle road – Summerhill stud. Cross a bridge and then take on your left. Next crossing road take on your right to the Giant Castle road. Drive for 2 km until you find the Hlatikulu road on your left (indicated Spring Water Farm accommodation) like Hartford House – Summerhill stud etc. Keep straight going down to the hill for 6 km. Pass Summerhill Stud on your right and then Hartford house on your right. Go down to the hill. (+ 500 m). Don't take the road on your left (Connington road). Keep straight and after 400 m take the entrance on your left (Spring Water Farm). You are arrived.
