Albert Falls
General Information
The Albert Falls Dam is situated a mere 20kms from Pietermaritzburg and is rated as one of the best bass fishing dams in the world. It is one of Kwa-Zulu Natal's largest dam with the area a mixture of woodland, open grassland and small marsh. In the wet seasons birdlife is abundant and includes widows, weavers, waxbills and cisticolas.
Albert Falls is a great place for game viewing enthusiasts who have a choice of seeing nature on foot or from game viewing vehicles. Amongst the scenic views and cultural attractions there are popular family activities include water skiing, para-sailing, canoeing and fishing.
